Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about starting your brand with Scale1. Can't find yours? Email support@scale1.app.

How much does Scale1 cost?

Scale1 has one plan: Basic at $49/month. There is no free trial. On each order, the product and shipping cost is deducted from that order's payment to pay the supplier, plus a 0.85% platform fee, and Stripe's normal card processing fee is passed on at cost. See pricing.

How long does it take to launch a store?

Most founders have a sale-ready store in about 30 minutes: you answer a few questions, pick products, add or create a logo, check the suggested prices and publish. You can keep editing the store after it is live.

Do I need to buy inventory?

No. There is no stock to buy and no minimum order. Products are produced, labeled and shipped per order after a customer buys, so you never store boxes at home.

How does private label work?

You choose a ready-made, ready-to-ship product (for example magnesium, creatine or collagen), and Scale1 puts your brand name and logo on its packaging. The formula comes from the supplier; the brand, price and store are yours. Read the private label guide.

Which countries can I sell to?

You can sell to the countries where each product's supplier ships. Supplements can ship to the United States and a list of international destinations; some beauty products ship to the US only. Your dashboard shows exactly where each product can be delivered before you publish it.

How much profit can I make?

You set your own price, and Scale1 shows a suggested price and your profit per sale on every product. As an example, a product with about $12 in product and shipping cost sold at $39 leaves about $27 before payment fees and your marketing costs. Try the profit calculator.

How do I get paid?

You connect Stripe in one click with a short form (no extra password). Customers pay at checkout, you are the seller on their card statement, and Stripe pays out to your bank every Monday. You see every order and payout in your dashboard.

Who handles taxes and legal requirements?

You do, as the store owner. You are responsible for registering your business where required, charging and paying sales tax or VAT, and following the product and advertising rules of the countries you sell to. Scale1 gives you policy page templates, but they are not legal advice. See the Terms.

What happens with refunds and damaged orders?

You decide your store's refund policy and handle customer requests from your dashboard. If an order arrives damaged or gets lost in transit, it can be reported for a replacement within the supplier's claim window (30 days).

Can I use my own domain?

Yes. Every store starts on a free address like yourbrand.scale1.app, and you can connect your own domain at any time.

Which languages can my store use?

Your store can be shown in the languages of the countries you sell to, so customers see the store and checkout in their own language.

Do I need design or tech skills?

No. Scale1 creates the store, product pages and label artwork for you, and a built-in AI store assistant helps with product descriptions and questions. If you can fill in a form, you can launch.
